Cigar smoking is permitted only at La Palette. - Special Dietary Needs - Advance Notice Required
Guests requiring a special diet, or special food items aboard the ship, must notify the Reservations Department at least eight weeks prior to their sailing date. This is particularly important if specially purchased food items are required. After boarding, please contact the Maitre d' to discuss any requirements. General dietary needs such as low-salt or low-cholesterol foods can be satisfied on board the ship simply by speaking with the dining wait staff. - Wheelchair Access & Special Needs

Pregnant women should consult with their doctor prior to sailing with Paul Gauguin Cruises, as there is no prenatal care on board. Paul Gauguin Cruises will not accept any guest six months (24 weeks) or more into pregnancy at the time of sailing due to the lack of neonatal care facilities on board. Pregnant guests under six months (24 weeks) must provide a doctor’s written permission prior to sailing that states she is fit to travel by sea and air (if Paul Gauguin Cruises booked their air). This must be faxed to Reservations, Attn: Special Requests-Medical at 1(425)732-7198. The fax must reference the Guest’s name, ship name, and sailing date. The permission must be dated within 30 days of the cruise departure date. Designed specifically to glide in luxury through the shallow seas of the South Pacific, The Gauguin is a small-ship cruiser’s dream. She delivers travelers to intimate ports inaccessible to larger cruise ships, all the while providing a travel experience that is nothing short of luxurious. Once on board, guests enjoy newly-decorated spacious suites and staterooms (more than 70% with private balconies), an onboard watersports marina, three dining venues, an extensive spa, and five-star service. Life on The Gauguin also reflects the beauty and rich cultural heritage of the islands she calls upon, with a warm, friendly feel, informal setting, and even a beloved troupe of Les Gauguin and Les Gauguines—local Tahitians who serve as onboard hosts and hostesses, entertainers, and storytellers.
